The Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals helped to save a cat suffering from frostbite Saturday.
The cat, named Sugar, was one of two rescued by a lady in Vinton County. The other cat died from exposure to the cold.
Sugar lost one ear. She was taken to the Rascal Animal Hospital in Dublin where veterinarians were working to determine if they can save her other ear.
The Ohio SPCA wants everyone to remember to bring in pets during these frigid temperatures. Also remember to provide extra hay and water for livestock and horses.
Call your local humane society or police if you see any animals in trouble.
