A woman is being questioned by police after crashing her car into a north Columbus pond early Thursday morning.
Columbus Police and a water rescue team were called to the Sterling Place apartments just off Bethel Road around 3:00 a.m.
Rescue workers say when they arrived they saw the car with its front end submerged in the water. The driver could not be found.
Police told 10TV they were confident the driver was not in the water because the pond was iced over.
Officers say a woman eventually returned to the scene and admitted to driving the car into the pond by mistake. She was given a sobriety test.
A tow truck was called to attempt to remove the car from the water.
