UPDATED: Thursday January 16, 2014 4:15 PM

Investigators say a man entered the Cooper State Bank located at 1669 W. 5th Avenue on Saturday and got away with cash.

The suspect wore a surgical mask and forced a bank teller to put money in a backpack he was carrying.

The teller complied and gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect then took the money, placed it in his backpack and fled on foot.

He was last seen running eastbound in the alley south of the bank.

The suspect was described as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5'5" to 5'8" tall, thin athletic build, wearing a faded red hoodie, dust mask, tan & black gloves, and dark pants with stripes on the legs.

The robbery was captured on surveillance video and Columbus police hope the photos will help them track down the bank robber.

This is the 3rd bank robbery in Columbus of 2014. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Columbus Police Robbery Unit at 614-645-4665. Persons wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS(8477).
