Special Information:
    Mostly cloudy skies are expected overnight with warmer temperatures in the 20’s. A major arctic outbreak is headed toward central Ohio with the coldest temperatures in nearly 20 years likely. A storm system will move along the arctic cold front across central Ohio on Sunday. This will bring a period of rain or a wintry mix during the day Sunday. Most of central Ohio and southeast Ohio will receive rain through early Sunday evening. As the arctic front crosses Sunday night, temperatures will rapidly fall below freezing and into the teens after midnight. Rain will change over to snow, which may be briefly heavy. Snowfall amounts will range from 1 to 3 inches along and SE of I-71. Amounts of 3-6” will be possible northwest of I-71. Strong winds will also arrive behind the front causing blowing and drifting snow and likely reducing visibilities. Also, any wet roadways and sidewalks will quickly become icy as temperatures drop Sunday night.
   Arctic air will continue to pour in on Monday with temperatures likely dropping below zero. Wind chill readings will fall to dangerous levels, averaging around -20 to -40 Monday into Tuesday morning. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected with the bitter cold temperatures Monday night into Tuesday.  Temperatures will slowly moderate Wednesday and Thursday with another chance for snow Wednesday night.

Winter Weather Advisory for the rest of central Ohio including Franklin, Pickaway, Fairfield and Licking Counties. All from 5am Sunday to 1am Monday. WIND CHILL WARNING all of central Ohio from 4am Monday through 5pm Tuesday.
   
Inconvenient Weather: A wintry mix or rain will develop Sunday afternoon and likely be all rain during the evening across central Ohio. Arctic air will arrive Sunday evening with rapidly falling temperatures and gusty winds. Rain will change to snow Sunday evening as cold air arrives with a quick 1-3” of snow possible along and SE of I-71. Amounts of 3-6” will be possible NW of I-71. Any snow will blow and drift with the gusty winds. Also, any wet roads and sidewalks will likely become icy due to the rapidly falling temperatures. Dangerous wind chill readings are likely by Monday morning and may range from -20 to -30 by afternoon, and fall to as cold as -40 by Tuesday morning.
