City of Columbus Snow Warriors pretreated roads with brine Monday. The trucks started with bridges, overpasses, and ramps.
The pretreating was in anticipation of snow predicted in the next 48 hours.
Drivers were urged to use caution while driving and give the Snow Warrior trucks plenty of room to spray brine.
The first priority for the City of Columbus includes portions of State Routes 315, 33 and 104. The Ohio Department of Transportation is responsible for I-71, I-70, I-670, and I-270.
City officials say residential streets are only plowed after four inches of snow are on the ground and after freeways, arterials and collector residential streets have been plowed and treated.
