UPDATED: Tuesday December 17, 2013 5:23 PM

A Sunbury man will face a judge on Wednesday on charges he exposed himself to young girls.

The alleged incidents happened at the Meijer store at 100 Polaris Parkway.

Westerville Police say 41-year-old Gary Adkins exposed himself to two different eight-year-old girls on separate occasions.

The first alleged incident happened on Sunday, December 8, 2013, and involved an eight-year-old girl who happens to be the daughter of a Genoa Township police officer.

Investigators say the girl quickly reported the incident, but by the time officers arrived at the store - the suspect was gone.

They say that on Saturday, December 14, Adkins went back to the store and targeted a different eight-year-old girl.

The police report says Adkins exposed himself to the second little girl, twice, while in a grocery aisle inside the store.

The documents go on to say the girl’s mother was looking at items on the shelf and did not witness the alleged incident. The girl pointed Adkins out in the store and told her mother what he had done.

Westerville Police say when officers arrived at the store; Adkins was standing in line at the cash register.

Investigators say after Adkins was arrested for the second incident, the first victim identified Adkins as the same man who exposed himself to her.

Adkins is scheduled to be arraigned in Delaware County Municipal Court Wednesday morning.
