Freezing Drizzle, Fluries Overnight Could Lead To Icing

Special Information:
  Skies will remain cloudy with occasional flurries and freezing drizzle tonight. Untreated roads and sidewalks could become icy as temperatures hover near or just below freezing through this evening. However, temperatures should rise above freezing after midnight, allowing for some improvement. Precipitation should come to an end early Monday morning with clouds lingering through the day. High temperatures will rise to near or just above freezing early in the day, and then begin to fall by late afternoon.
   Much colder, arctic air will filter into central Ohio Monday night into Tuesday. Some light snow is expected to develop across parts of central and southern Ohio Tuesday morning as the coldest air arrives. Snow will taper off by Tuesday evening with frigid temperatures expected Tuesday night into midweek. Highs will drop into the teens and lower 20’s Wednesday and Thursday with overnight lows dipping into the single digits. Wind chill readings on Tuesday through Thursday could drop below zero at times. Temperatures will slowly moderate Friday through next weekend.

While the precipitation will be light, a coating of ice will be possible on elevated and untreated surfaces. Bridges and overpasses may become slick early tonight before temperatures rise above freezing after midnight. Much colder, arctic air will arrive in central Ohio Monday night with more light snow possible on Tuesday.
