UPDATED: Monday November 18, 2013 3:46 PM

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man they believe intended to rob Kingston National Bank just after noon Monday.

The Chillicothe Gazette says that employees at the bank on North Main Street in Kingston saw a man with his face covered start to enter the front of the bank.

The employees immediately initiated a lockdown procedure says Col. TJ Hollis.

After he could not get inside, Hollis said the man got into a scuffle with two people passing by.

They told deputies that the man pulled a gun on them, reported the newspaper.

The man then fled on a bicycle toward Eastern Avenue, which turns into Dry Run Road at the edge of Kingston, reports the Gazette.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 5’8” and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a colorful logo on the back.

The Chillicothe Gazette says the bank remains closed this afternoon as the scene is processed for evidence.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 740-773-1185 or anonymously call Southern Ohio Crime Stoppers at 740-773-TIPS.
