The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of central Ohio under a "Moderate Risk" for severe storms this afternoon into tonight. Strong thunderstorms are expected to develop by late afternoon, and may become severe with damaging winds possible. There is also a threat for isolated tornadoes this afternoon into tonight.

We’ll be windy and warm today ahead of a strong cold front. Scattered showers and a few storms will be possible throughout the day with storms becoming likely this evening as the front gets closer. The computer models are indicating a line of storms will develop mid to late afternoon in Indiana and cross into Ohio early this evening. This line will be capable of producing damaging wind and possibly a few tornadoes. The Storm Prediction Center has placed central Ohio under a MODERATE RISK for severe weather with a HIGH RISK in western Ohio and Indiana. Most storms should be gone by midnight, and skies will clear and temperatures fall as the front pushes east. We’ll be in the low 50s Monday with a slight chance for showers followed by highs in the 40s and dry weather Tuesday through Thursday.
