Double Homicide Suspect Arrested Following Club Shooting

Wyandot County authorities arrested a man suspected of killing two people inside a club.

Sheriff’s deputies say a shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Friday at the Carey Conservation Clubhouse on Township Road 106 near Carey, Ohio.

Deputies say 65-year-old Richard Clark of Tiffin walked into the club, fired one shot into the air, and then killed a man and a woman.

The victims have been identified as 49-year-old Roger Fredritz of Carey and Cynthia Hawkinberry of Tiffin.

Authorities arrested Clark and say he knew the victims.

According to our Toledo affiliate WTOL, investigators interviewed more than two-dozen witnesses.
