A weak storm frontal boundary crossing the state will keep clouds and the chance for a few showers into the evening hours. The threat for rain will decrease after midnight with slowly clearing skies by daybreak Sunday. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are in the forecast on Sunday with temperatures staying below seasonable averages. Highs will struggle to reach 50 degrees.
Sunshine and a slow warming trend are on tap to start the new week. Temperatures will climb into the middle 60’s by Wednesday before a cold front arrives late Wednesday night into Thursday. The cold front will bring back the threat for rain and perhaps a few thunderstorms on Thursday. Another blast of chilly air is expected behind the cold front with highs only in the upper 40’s to end next week.
