A 36-year-old former high school teacher in Cincinnati tells jurors she may have exchanged inappropriate text messages with a student, but she denied having sex with any of them.
Former Colerain High teacher Julie Hautzenroeder testified Wednesday in her trial on sexual battery charges. Prosecutors allege that she had sex with two sophomore boys at her apartment in May.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Hautzenroeder testified that the two 16-year-olds came to her apartment and had alcohol and marijuana, but she didn't have sex with them as they have claimed.
She said she felt uncomfortable and almost threatened by the teens who she said expected to have sex with her that night.
Closing arguments are expected Thursday. If found guilty, Hautzenroeder could be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
