A strong storm system will move across the Ohio Valley tonight bringing with it widespread rain and gusty winds. A WIND ADVISORY goes into effect at 4pm and continues until 3am Friday morning. While rain will be likely most of the evening and overnight, the heaviest rain and perhaps strong storms will move through central Ohio between 10pm to 1am. Wind gusts as high as 50mph or more will be possible as the front crosses the area.
The rain will taper off toward daybreak Friday with a breezy, cooler day on tap. Another, weaker storm system will bring back a chance for lighter showers and even cooler temperatures to start the weekend.
Alerts : WIND ADVISORY for all of central Ohio from 4pm until 3am tonight. A SLIGHT RISK for severe storms remains for most of state tonight.
Inconvenient Weather: Rain and a few thunderstorms will be likely overnight. The wind will also increase and may gust as high as 50mph through the evening. Even stronger wind gusts will be possible as a cold front crosses late tonight. Calmer and cooler weather returns Friday.
Planning your Day: Showers will quickly move east early Friday with a mix of sun and clouds expected during the afternoon. Temperatures will still be seasonably mild, but will slowly begin to fall late in the day. Clouds will increase again late Friday night with a chance for showers returning Saturday.
