A gust of wind brought a tree crashing down on a Worthington home Thursday evening. It missed some trick-or-treaters by just seconds. William and Christine Loadman say a large branch from a backyard tree crashed onto their roof. It punctured a hole in their upstairs ceiling.
The Loadman's say it came down just as a group of trick-or-treaters approached their front door.
"I went to open the door, the wind blew, and we heard this loud crash, and the boys looked up and turned around and high-tailed it that way and right after that all these branches you see here came tumbling down right where they were standing," said Christine Loadman.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The Loadmans put a tarp over their roof Thursday night, but feared about the weather headed towards Central Ohio overnight into Friday.
