Investigators are trying to prove who was behind the wheel of an SUV when it careened out of control and slammed into a house.
The crash on Fisher Road in West Columbus killed 22-year-old Jessica Hubble.
According sheriff's investigators, the sole survivor of the crash says he wasn't driving.
But 10TV has obtained a search warrant which reveals the evidence they gathered at the scene tells a different story.
Investigators are talking with the bartender at the pub where deputies say the couple was drinking just minutes before the crash.
Investigators say they're checking area businesses for surveillance video that would help prove 21-year old Oscar Staton Jr. was behind the wheel of the car.
The first witnesses on the scene, and Jessica's parents, say there's no doubt in their minds who was behind the wheel.
The SUV rumbled as it rolled toward Anna Paessun’s house. The noise got louder until it crashed in to the home.
Paessun says the man in the car began pounding frantically on her door.
“Help me! Find my girlfriend,” he said, according to Paessun.
Deputies say 22-year old Jessica Hubble was thrown from the car and killed.
Deputies say the man denies he was driving but investigators say he wasn't ejected. The driver’s side door remains intact, and he is believed to be the driver.
Jessica's parents came to the spot where their daughter was killed. Kevin Hubble says his daughter called home minutes before the deadly crash and asked them to come pick her up.
“She was drunk...didn't want to drive,” he said. “She said she was going to talk to him...call us back in a couple minutes.”
But minutes later Jessica was dead, and her father says he doesn't believe she suddenly changed her mind and got behind the wheel.
“I think he was driving, and I think it takes a pretty low person to blame it on someone who's lying on the ground- dead. I think that's pretty low.”
Deputies tell 10TV Staton Jr. was uncooperative at the hospital but say toxicology reports will reveal his blood alcohol level.
Investigators say they believe he's the driver, and they intend to file criminal charges against him.
