A police chief has been charged in connection with the death of a man found buried under a porch.
Police found 63-year-old Paul Roberts, Sr. murdered on October 21 in Glouster.
At the time, investigators said some items were stolen from his home.
On Tuesday, the Athens County Prosecutor says Murray City Police Chief Christopher Bishop pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property and obstructing official business.
The prosecutor says Bishop purchased Robert's Harley Davidson Motorcycle from his son Paul Roberts, Junior.
In a jailhouse interview with 10TV, the younger Roberts told 10TV how he killed his father and hid his body in a well under a porch. He’s also been charged with stealing his father’s property, including the motorcycle.
As part of his plea agreement, Bishop also agreed to testify against Roberts, Jr. in his murder case.
10TV reached out to the Murray City Police Department for comment but no one has replied.
