Anthony-Thomas Candy Co. co-founder Tom Zanetos died at Riverside Hospital Thursday afternoon. He was 93.
Zanetos was born in Columbus in 1920, the son of Greek immigrants.
His father opened his first candy store when Tom was just 6-years-old.
After serving as a food inspector and meat buyer for the Army in WWII, Tom and his father started Anthony's Confectionery.
The name officially became Anthony-Thomas in 1952.
Zanetos won numerous business and community awards.
In lieu of flowers, the family says memorials may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church.
