A suspect has been identified in a Union County arson.
According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, on Oct. 20 at about 4:16 a.m., officials responded to a fire at 13302 U.S. Route 36 in New Dover.
The businesses were At Grade Incorporated and New Leaf Landscape Construction.
A suspect was identified as a result of an investigation, and a search was performed at a home in the 900 block of West Fifth Street in Marysville.
Property stolen from the businesses prior to the fire was discovered during the search. The alleged suspect also had severe burns to his legs, arms and face.
The incident remains under investigation, and the suspect has not been charged.
