A new type of interchange will be opening Monday night on the west side of Columbus.
A "Diverging Diamond Interchange" is the first of its kind in Ohio, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
It's been built at the Interstate 270 and Roberts Road interchange.
ODOT says the design will allow more vehicles to travel through the interchange instead of waiting in separate turn lanes to get onto the freeway.
The ribbon cutting for the road is being held Monday afternoon, and it will open to the public around 7 p.m.
