UnitedHelathcare has donated 50 laptops Monday to local organizations in an effort to expand computer access to health information in underserved areas.
Representatives from UnitedHealthcare delivered computers to Woodward Family Resource Center, which provides comprehensive programs for underprivileged families.
The donation will help establish a computer lab offering high-speed access, according to a press release.
The Community Computer program of UnitedHealthcare helps community and faith-based organizations.
The program allows community members to access health information, assistance programs and other online resources.
