2 Charged For Allegedly Breaking Into Galion Church

Two men were apprehended for allegedly breaking and entering into Heritage Baptist Church Friday morning.

Galion police reports that Officer Stephen Knapp was on patrol when he spotted a suspicious vehicle with its trunk open at the rear of the church at around 5 a.m.

According to police, when a light went on in the church, Knapp saw two men with stocking hats and bandanas over their face.

The suspects were placed under arrest after exiting the church.

Michael Jackson, 30, and James Cushing, 29, are being held at Crawford County Jail.

Police say they found several items stacked up inside the church.

Nothing was in the vehicle.

The Galion Poilce will be submitting the investigation to the Crawford County Prosecutor.

They are requesting charges of breaking and entering for both men.
