Worthington police are targeting dangerous roadways, and the numbers indicate they are making a difference.
On Tuesday, CrimeTracker 10's CrimeFighters reported that Worthington police are attacking the most dangerous intersections in the community. They are using a three-pronged attack, which includes engineering, education and enforcement.
New report numbers show injury crashes in the area are down more than 30 percent. The report also says that moving violation charges are up 56 percent.
Police say the enforcement has also led to finding more stolen goods in vehicles.
Theft reports are also on the decline in the area.
Police say theft offenses are down nearly 30 percent when compared to this time last year.
Worthington is also combating thefts with extra patrols, marked and unmarked, in known crime hotspots.
