The news that a resolution on the government shutdown may be in sight did not stop some employees at Defense Supply Center Columbus from taking to the streets on Friday.
The informational picket was held outside DSCC which employs over 9,000 people.
While many furloughs have not happened yet, there is still concern that thousands will soon work without pay if the shutdown isn't resolved.
Employees say that could have a drastic impact around Whitehall.
“Get with your Congress people, and let them know how it's going to affect the economy. We have a lot of small business that rely on us out here,” said Shaun Sanders.
Whitehall has been concerned about this shutdown before it even happened, estimating that the city has been losing up to a quarter of a million dollars every six days.
