Police called off a search for a possible missing girl at a southwest Columbus park on Wednesday evening.
Police said that they found no evidence that a child was missing at Big Run Park, located at 4201 Clime Road.
Police searched the park on horseback, bicycle and with K9 units after two callers reported seeing two adults enter the woods with a child and return alone.
Police said they were looking for a white female, between 3-5 years old, with sandy blonde hair and wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt.
Two witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman, who had driven a white Ford Ranger truck, take the child into the woods and then leave abruptly without the child about 20 minutes later.
Big Run Park was evacuated shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday because of the incident. People were allowed back in the park at about 5:45 p.m.
