The Columbus Metropolitan Library is opening its 22nd branch in Marion-Franklin by early 2014.
Library officials say that that The Columbus City Schools board of education approved the leasing of Beery Middle School’s old Media Center for the new library on Tuesday.
Officials say that the location provides convenient access along roadways, ample parking and proximity to the high school and recreation center.
The branch will offer pre-kindergarten programs, a free homework help center, free computers, free WiFi and printers and copiers at a cost.
Library visitors will be able to pick up reserved items during open hours.
Limited hours of operation will be determined later this year.
