Dive Team Searching For Missing Man

UPDATED: Saturday September 28, 2013 8:11 AM

The Columbus Fire Department has dispatched a dive team to the 3800 block of South High Street to search for a missing man.

Columbus police told 10TV that a second man called around 3:45 a.m. Saturday to say that the fishing boat he was in tipped over in a quarry shortly before 2 a.m.

He told police he wasn’t sure if his friend, who’d been in the boat with him, had made it to shore.

The man told police he and his friend were drinking at the time of the incident.

Officers checked the missing man’s home, but he was not there.

Police then brought in their dive team to join the fire department’s dive team in the search.
