According to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, Nathaniel Brunner is charged with one count each of aggravated murder, murder
attempted murder, felonious assault and having a weapon while under disability. He also is charged with three counts of aggravated
He is charged in connection with the July 24 crime spree that started with the shooting of clerk Imran Ashgar at the Convenient
Plus Food Mart on East Livingston Avenue.
On July 27, he is accused of traveling to a truck stop in Madison County where he and 17-year-old Devonere Simmonds, who is also
accused, shot a man in the head when they demanded his vehicle.
The two were arrested the next day in Dayton, where they were found sleeping in the stolen vehicle.
