Man’s Throat Cut While He Worked On Vehicle

Obetz police are investigating an incident where a man's throat was cut while he working on his vehicle.

The alleged incident occurred Thursday morning at about 8 a.m. along Alum Creek drive at Rathmell Road.

According to police, they found the man, identified as 49-year-old Larry Joe Graves of Groveport, lying next to his truck in a pool of blood with an apparent neck injury.

The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The police report lists the incident as felonious assault and that a knife or cutting incident was used in the attack.

Investigators were trying to figure out the motive in the attack.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation was called in to help with the investigation.

As of Thursday afternoon, the victim was listed in critical condition at Grant Medical Center.

Police shut down a portion of Alum Creek Drive while they collected evidence.

Obetz police did not immediately return 10TV’s calls.
