Police were investigating a south side home invasion Thursday morning.
Officers said a man with a gun walked into a home in the 800 block of Oak Street shortly before 2:00 AM and demanded wallets from the people inside.
Victims told police they believed he got away in a purple Mazda 6 car.
About an hour later, officers stopped a car with that vehicle description on Pannell Avenue and Page Road.
Inside the car, officers say they found the stolen items from the Oak Street robbery.
Officers also recovered a gun at the scene.
The man and woman inside the Mazda were both taken into custody.
The man was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
Detectives said they were able to link the man to another robbery near campus Thursday morning.
Officers said the charges against the woman were pending.
No one was injured in either robbery.
They added they would also be executing a search warrant at a home in the 1800 block of Pannell Avenue.
