Hundreds of employees received notices Monday that their positions are being terminated.
According to representatives from Chase, 440 employees from Columbus, Westerville and Gahanna were affected.
Employees received a minimum of 90-day notices on Monday.
Officials said that the employees who were being terminated would be put into talent reassignments to find other positions within the company.
Chase said the reason for the layoffs was because of a stabilizing housing market and the declining number of customers refinancing their homes.
