The Cincinnati area is tuning up for an annual music festival that will feature 175 bands this year.
The MidPoint Music Festival runs Sept. 26-28, with live music, street performers, other artists, food and other attractions. This is the 12th year for the festival that celebrates the Ohio city's music history.
This year's lineup includes Shuggie Otis, an R&B and other popular music veteran. But most of the bands playing on 16 stages in the city are emerging talents in a festival showcasing up-and-coming independent musicians.
The festival also features a family-friendly "KidPoint" area at the festival midway in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood.
