Our unsettled weather pattern will continue today with scattered showers and storms this afternoon and evening. While we’re not expecting widespread severe weather, one or two storms this afternoon could become strong to severe. We’ll see a warm afternoon with highs in the low 80s. Showers and storms will be likely this evening and overnight as a cold front approaches from the west. Plan on taking the rain gear to any high school football games tonight. Lightning could lead to delays.
Lingering showers will be possible Saturday morning as the front begins to exit the region. Most showers should be gone in time for the Buckeyes noon kick-off, but you could see a few showers during morning tailgating. We’ll see dry and cooler air gradually work into central Ohio through the day. Highs will top out in the low 70s. Sunday will bring a sunny but cool finish to the weekend with highs likely staying in the 60s.
