The Columbus Board of Health voted to close The Quality Inn and Suites at Crosswoods after inspections turned up serious food-safety violations.

The hotel, located at 7500 Vantage Dr., will face increased inspections for four months when it reopens, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

The board said inspectors found numerous violations in recent months, including unsanitary utensils and surfaces, lack of food-safety knowledge on the part of the person in charge and foods held at improper temperatures.
