Columbus fire officials let people back into their homes and offices at about 1 p.m. after they said a suspicious package was found at a Nationwide Children's Hospital office building.

Columbus fire officials say a suspicious package prompted the closure of the intersections of East Main Street and Fifth Street and Fifth Street and Noble Street near Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Fourth Street to Grant Street was closed as was Mound Street to Rich Street.

The evacuations took place shortly after 12:30 p.m.

A Children’s Hospital office building, located at 255 E Main St., was where the suspicious package was found.

Officials said they x-rayed the package and found that there was no threat.
