Police say two of the three men charged in connection with the murder of a man found in a burning home have admitted to the crime.
Rick Rundblad was found dead in his home on Hempwood Drive early Monday morning. His body was located after the home was set on fire.
John C. Brewster, 21, Jamell C. Preston, 19, and Marsean T. Sowards, 18, were all arrested and charged with murder later that day.
According to investigators, Brewster and Preston have admitted to the crime.
Brewster told police that the three were attempting to steal marijuana plants from Rundblad.
Brewster claims Sowards shot Rundblad during the robbery, but Brewster admits to returning to the scene to set the fire to cover up evidence.
Detectives said Preston also confessed to setting up the crime and driving the getaway car.
A judge has set bond for Brewster, Preston, and Sowards at a $1 million each.
