Thousands were without power in central Ohio Monday evening.
According to AEP Ohio’s website, 9,400 people were without power as of about 7:30 p.m.
Officials said that a squirrel caused the outage at a Bethel Road substation.
The majority of the outages were in northwest Columbus.
The power outage affected a number of traffic signals in the area.
Restoration time was slated for 8:30 p.m.
