Three people were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a crash involving a fire department vehicle.
Columbus police confirmed that two vehicles, including a vehicle carrying Columbus battalion chief, were involved in the crash at West Mound Street near South Ogden Avenue, shortly after 4 p.m.
The battalion chief and two people in the other vehicle were transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital in unknown condition.
The names of those involved were not immediately released.
No charges were immediately filed in the crash.
Mound Street at Ogden Avenue was closed in both directions because of the crash.
The crash remained under investigation.
