A suspected drunk driver was taken into custody early Friday morning after crashing near a high school.
Police said the driver crashed through a fence and a pole on Eakin Road in west Columbus around 2:30 a.m.
Police said it happened near Bishop Ready High School.
Police said the driver was still in the car when they arrived on scene.
Authorities said they believed the man lost control and traveled through the fence, before being stopped by the pole.
Police performed a sobriety test and took the driver into custody.
The driver was not injured.
Eakin Road was shut down while police cleared the wreckage.
