A woman is charged with felonious assault for firing a shot at a woman inside of north Columbus store.
According to court documents, a Columbus police officer heard a gunshot while he was on patrol and ran in the location it was heard.
When the officer arrived, he got into an argument with the cashier, identified as Susan Qabie.
As another woman walked out of the store, Qabie fired one shot, missing her but striking a window in a van parked in the store's lot.
Three people inside the van were uninjured and did not pursue charges against Qabie, because they were her friends, court records stated.
Qabie is charged with one count of felonious assault.
Court documents stated that Qabie admitted to firing the shot near the woman to "scare her and get her out of the store."
Qabie was jailed on $25,000 bond on Wednesday morning.
