A lawsuit against the Columbus Division of Fire says an Upper Arlington woman may die after she was doused with a toxic chemical.
Maureen Koeppen says she was in her convertible, stopped at a red light next to an ambulance, when some sort of fluid sprayed from the medic at her and into her vehicle.
The suit states Koeppen was covered in the fluid, and immediately began suffering serious health issues.
The alleged incident happened Aug. 6 at the intersection of West 5th Avenue and OIentangy River Road.
Her attorney says Koeppen has been hospitalized since Aug. 14, and that her illness could be life-threatening.
A spokesman with the Columbus Division of Fire said he was unaware of both the incident and the lawsuit and could not comment.
