A man who admitted in an online video to hitting and killing a man while driving drunk has been officially charged.

Matthew Cordle of Powell has been charged with one count of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of operating a vehicle under the influence.

Cordle confessed to hitting and killing 61-year-old Vincent Canzani while driving drunk along Interstate 670 near 3rd Street on June 22.

His blood-alcohol level was .191 at the time of the crash, according to the indictment.

Cordle made a video to confess to the crime.

In the video, Cordle said he did not want to dishonor Canzani's memory by lying about what happened.

Cordle, 22, is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said that he could receive two to eight years on the aggravated vehicular homicide charge.
