Bond Set For Man Accused In New Year's Eve Fatal Hit & Run

UPDATED: Monday September 9, 2013 4:06 PM

A Franklin County man was arraigned on Monday on charges of Vehicular Homicide.

Matthew McQuirt, 38, is accused of striking bicyclist Bobby Grimm and leaving him to die along the road in Obetz.

The man known to friends as "Bicycle Bobby" was struck on December 30 by a pickup truck that left the scene.

Police say McQuirt was the driver and that he was intoxicated. He told 10TV earlier this year that he was not drunk, and he just did not see Grimm that night.

A judge set McQuirt's bond at $10,000.
