The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash that happened Saturday at 11:30 p.m. on U.S. 62.
The crash occurred just north of the village of Harrisburg near I-71.
In a media release, the sheriff's office said a Ponitac Vibe was traveling southbound when it went left of center and collided with a Honda Accord head-on.
Two passengers from the Vibe were pronounced dead at the scene and the driver was transported to Grant Medical Center in serious condition, according to the release.
The sheriff's office said a family of five from Hilliard was traveling in the Accord. A nine-year-old boy sitting in the back seat was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in critical condition. He later died at the hospital.
The other four occupants were also taken to various hospitals, according to deputies.
The sheriff's office hasn't released the identities of those involved in the crash.
The cause remains under investigation and the sheriff's office believes alcohol and/or drugs played a factor in the crash.
No charges have been filed at this time.
