Police: Suspect Admitted To Murdering Men In Burned Car

A Columbus man faces murder charges in connection to the deaths of two men whose bodies were found burning in a car.

Nicholas Roseberry appeared in court on Thursday, a day after he was charged with two counts of murder.

On Friday morning, the bodies of 44-year-old Jose Avilez and 43-year-old Richard Gill Jr. were found in a burning car in the 2300 block of Forest Creek Drive.

Autopsies revealed they had been beaten to death before being placed in the car.

According to court documents, investigators found blood soaked furniture at Roseberry's home.

The documents also indicate that Roseberry admitted to the murders.
