UPDATED: Thursday August 29, 2013 1:31 PM

A Westerville man accused of trying to arrange sex with an underage girl has pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography.

Jason Grossman, 31, went online and exchanged messages with someone who claimed to be the father of prepubescent children. That individual was actually an officer of the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

According to court documents, Grossman discussed the possibility of engaging in sexual activity with the person's daughter. A meeting was arranged for Jan. 9.

When Grossman arrived, he was met by officers. At the time, Grossman denied he was at the location for sex.

A search warrant found almost 50 images of child pornography on a computer in his home.

Grossman's sentencing date has not been set, but he could face five to 20 years in prison. He remains on house arrest.
