2 Hospitalized After Driving Themselves To Fire Station To Report Possible Chemical Spill

Monroe Township fire officials were on scene of a possible chemical spill in Licking County on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, people showed up at the fire station reporting they had chemical burns.

The two people, both in their 60s, were taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as a precaution.

HAZMAT officials went to a property in the 10100 block of Appleton Road to investigate.

No harmful substance was found, and officials cleared the scene shortly before 5 p.m.
