Columbus Academy Placed On Brief Lockdown While Authorities Searched Area For Suspect

A lockdown has been lifted at Columbus Academy after a search of the area Wednesday.

According to school officials, the school was placed on a brief lockdown Wednesday morning, because Gahanna police were searching for a suspect in the area.

Authorities searched the school grounds.

Gahanna police said the suspect was wanted out of a burglary.

The person was not immediately located, but the school was able to resume classes.
