Columbus Police Just Miss Catching 2 Men Wanted For Car Break-Ins

UPDATED: Wednesday August 28, 2013 11:46 AM

Police chased two people on Wednesday morning for allegedly breaking into cars in northwest Columbus, but the individuals got away.

At least five vehicles were targeted in the Sycamore Hills subdivision, along Smallwood Drive. Phones and other electronics were taken from the cars.

Police say they suspects were spotted around 4 a.m.

One victim found gloves and a jacket in his backyard that may have been left behind by the suspects.

"That really kind of creeps me out.  I mean, I don't like the idea of somebody hiding in my backyard actually, while I was messing with the car, I believe, maybe watching me," said Bill Morris.

The suspects were driving an older model, white Honda Civic. They were last seen near Bethel and Olentangy River roads.
