A 16-year-old accused of shooting and killing a student near the Linden-McKinley STEM Academy will be tried as an adult, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
Jesean M. Callender, along with Shyquan D. Washington, 18, are accused of shooting and killing Kaewaun D. Coleman in an alley near 2055 Cleveland Ave. near Linden-McKinley on Jan. 17.
The paper reported that Washington was deemed incompetent to stand trial. He currently is in a residential treatment center in an effort to gain competency within one year.
