A woman is charged with felonious assault after allegedly striking and dragging another with a vehicle after a fight.
According to court documents, Kennitha T. Rice got into a fight with a 25-year-old woman at about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 16 in the alley near the 200 block of East 8th Avenue.
Rice and two of her friends are accused of getting into Rice's Chevy Malibu as the parties continue to yell at each other.
A witness told police that Rice purposely swerved toward the alleged victim, struck her and knocked her into the air.
The alleged victim became stuck under the vehicle and was pulled underneath the car and was dragged southbound through the alley.
The vehicle eventually drove over the alleged victim and continued southbound.
The 25-year-old woman suffered a pelvis fracture, a hip fracture and fractures to her ankles and left shoulder. She also had a ruptured bladder, according to court documents.
